iLearning Global Email Marketing

This article covers my advice on email marketing as well as the latest version of email marketing rules from iLearning Global.  Please check the iLearning Global website for more information and possible updates on email marketing for iLearning Global.

To begin, let’s not concern ourselves with the SPAM laws.  We will get to that, but first lets consider common human decency.  If you do not have millions of emails, why would you want to blast your list with garbage emails and alienate them?  Email is a great way to build your reputation and relationships while you sleep, but it is about providing value and creating interest and curiosity.

There are a lot of simple strategies to do good Email Marketing for iLearningGlobal or any other product.  To begin with, here is a secret to get an average of 20% more people to open your email and 5 other email marketing secrets.

Secret #1  Use a negative subject line.  Pay attention to the auto-responder on this site.  Go back and look at the subject lines.  We did not go negative to trick people, the content was worded to make perfect sense, but it was done that way because the open rate would be MUCH higher.

Secret #2  Don’t let your email text go way across the page.  People like to read narrow columns.

Secret #3  Don’t straight sell sel sell.  In fact, let them know you know the opportunity might not be right for them.  This adds credibility and makes them more likely to read your next email.

Secret #4 Short message with link is usually better.  If you have a video, just having a quick message and saying – check out the video – will get people more involved in your message.

Secret #5 You can never be boring enough to appeal to everyone.  People try to be professional, and just come off boring sometimes.  Have an appropriate sense of humor and/or let who you are shine through some.  Not everyone will like it, but some people will love it.

Secret #6 If you are not giving them something of value, do not send the email.  Always have something interesting and valuable in your email to your list and they will continue to enjoy getting them and reading them.

Now, here are the RULES from iLearning Global – Follow all of these, it is not that hard.

 iLG Email Marketing Do Not’s

  • 1. Do Not use www.ilearningglobal.tv or www.ilearningglobal.biz/<username> or www.ilgmarketerhub.com links in any email campaign. You must link to a website owned by you or a third party first and then to the iLearningGlobal websites. You are free to use the name iLearningGlobal but you must not present them as a domain with the .TV extension or link to them directly from an email.
  • 2. Do Not send any marketing emails to recipients that you don’t have proper “opt-in” permissions for. Do not use purchased mail lists, and follow all I ICANN Spam regulations.
  • 3. Do Not send an email without providing proper instructions on how to opt-out of your email list.
  • 4. Do Not disregard any opt-out requests.
  • 5. Do Not send an email without your physical address
  • 6. Do Not send an email that does not have a functioning return email address to the sender
  • 7. Do Not send an email that does not clearly disclose that the message is an advertisement or solicitation from an Independent Marketer. You must clearly state that you are an Independent Marketer of iLG.
  • 8. Do Not use deceptive subject lines and/or false header information
